Focusly ("we", "us", "our") provides a workspace for planning tasks, running focus sessions, and tracking sprints. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, our applications, and the services we offer through them.

By using Focusly you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what the product needs to work well. That falls into four groups.

Account information

Your name, email address, password hash, and — for paid plans — billing details handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.

Content you create

Tasks, projects, notes, sprint data, and focus session records. This content belongs to you. We do not use it to train models and we do not sell it.

Usage data

Device type, browser, operating system, approximate region, pages viewed, and feature interactions. This is aggregated wherever possible.

Support communications

Messages you send us, so we can answer them and improve common answers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and secure the service

• To sync your workspace across devices

• To process payments and manage subscriptions

• To send service notices, and — only with consent — product updates

• To detect abuse, fraud, and technical faults

• To understand which features help people focus, so we can improve them

We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising inside Focusly.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only in these situations:

• With service providers who host, process payments, or send email on our behalf under contract

• With your workspace collaborators, where you have chosen to share

• As part of a merger or acquisition, with notice to you

• Where the law requires it, including valid legal process

Every provider we use is bound to handle your data only on our instructions.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate usage. You can control non-essential cookies at any time.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, workspace content is removed from production within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

Some records — invoices, for example — are held longer where accounting or tax law requires it.

7. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to staff who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication, and logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the timeframes the law sets.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, export it in a portable format, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent you previously gave.

If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Third-Party Services

Focusly relies on a short list of providers for hosting, analytics, payments, and email delivery. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it handles.

Where you connect Focusly to an outside tool — a calendar, for instance — that connection is governed by the other provider's terms as well as ours.

10. Children's Privacy

Focusly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a child has given us data should contact us at [Privacy Contact Email].

11. International Data Transfers
